How to send an Instant Message (IM)

You can send IM to other oasisoflove members who also have our chat program installed on their computer.

First you must add a user to your buddy list as shown in the image below:

1. Click Add
2. Click Jabber

That brings up the next window

1. Under Jabber ID, type the username of the person you want to add. You must add @oasisoflove.com to the username. See an example in the image below
2. Under Add to group.., you can either type a new group, or choose an existing group. This will be how your buddies will be grouped on your Buddy list.
3. Under Message, type a message to be sent to the user. Usually this is just to ask for permission to add the person to your list.
4. Under Nickname, you can give the person a nickname, or he/she would just appear on your list in this format: username@oasisoflove.com.
5. Click Add

You should see this

Click OK.

At this point, you can add another user, or you can click Close.

Your new buddy should now appear on your buddy list

Now to send a message to somebody on your list, simply right-click on the name, and click Send message
